Please find an approved research request below:Good moring, I am a doctoral student at the University of Portsmouth and also a children Guardian. The study is entitled ''Decision making in the adoption process – What factors impact upon the decision to proceed?I am interested in talking to those who are in the process of beginning their adoption journey and finding out what factors help or hinder that decision. Only 1 in 10 inquiries lead to assessment and I want to discover why that might be from a potential adopters perspective. If you are interested I would like to interview you over the phone for no longer than 30 minutes about what has helped and what has hindered your decision to become an adoptive parent.I also have a questionnaire about the initial information pack and its role or effectiveness in helping that decision making process.I''m hoping that the study will identify factors that can aid recruitment and widen the diversity of those applying to adopt. If you think you might be interested in taking part please contact Teri Rogers at ---- EMAIL REDACTED ----Thank You
