Light at the end of the journey :-)

Well, we're nearly there :-) 6 weeks after approval panel and a confirmed link with a little pink and a little blue, 29 days to matching panel and 97 days til we meet OUR children :-) Paint and carpet bought for our soon to be sons room to start decorating on xmas eve, our daughters room paint is bought and we bought her a lovely shelf yesterday. All very positive from the kids SW, MA meeting and FC meeting done and all went well. Nothing we cant deal with, kids adorable with a traumatic past, our families are excited and so are we :-) A year ago we were planning going through the process, a year later yes we're still planning but PLANNING TO BRING OUR KIDS HOME IN 2016. We've had a few blips along the way with potential links but we couldnt be happier about welcoming these 2 little people into our world :-) So we've gone from a married couple with no kids to a married couple with a boy and a girl all within approx 1 year from starting the process :-) Good luck everyone on this journey. Never give up hope :-)

That's so great. Some of the posts on here are so negative. My partner and I have only just submitted our form and things are moving quick. Glad to hear of a positive story from another same sex couple.

Wow, so fast! Fantastic too, really pleased to read this post! We started the process a year ago and have been approved for 4 months. Waiting for the right child to come along of us. Good luck with everything when they come home :)

I'm so chuffed for you both, it is a hard journey to adopt but I'm sure it's well worth it. I failed the 1st adoption agency, due to me only having one bedroom and not having a lot of life skills. Glad that these can be worked on though, could be worse. Enjoy your adopted children!

ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY.... I continue to enjoy life with a great son. Allegedly 'hard to place' as he was 8years old. He is now 15 and an outstanding young man.
