Well after the constant not listening in school and my dread of taking him abroad I thought things could not get any worse. He hurt another child in school today (not the first time) after we came home he faked being ill. He was hysterical screaming and holding his chest saying he had stabbing pains. I had to rush him to hospital as was so ill. After my hubby turning up an ECG and an X-ray and 3 hours of waiting we were sent home and as we left he admitted there was nothing wrong with him and he just wanted a trip to the hospital as they had fun toys to play with. To the outside world he is cute and sweet but there is another side to him. Tonight he threatened to strangle with with my own necklace. It's like living with 2 kids! Just don't know where to turn

Do you have any therapy/CAMHS/SW support? I would try and get a free consultation at one of the adoption support agencies - ie family futures/catchpoint etc and then try and get therapy - unless you have a great local CAMHS would want it to be with someone who specialises in adopted/traumatised children
