Hi, I have just joined although my AC is nearly 6 and has been with us for 4 years, I have a BC at 12. I was wondering if there are any local support for us, we live in Surrey and would love to meet a family in the same situation.I have found it very assuring to read different posts on here...make me feel a lot more confident in what we are doing. Our AC is very challenging but we have great support from the school. Hope to hear from someone soon x

Hi -I'd check with the Adoption UK helpline. I'm pretty sure I've seen mention of a support group in Surrey, but don't know if it's still running.All the best,Corkwing

I rang AUK to find out that there were no groups in my area and no plans to set one up, no point in joining then! I rang the LA though and found there was one very local.
