Lankelly November 8, 2013 22:51
just wondered if DLA is paid for difficulties around supervision of a child to enable support to their right to a family life. Incase of 3 kids one of whom may have adhd / Foetal alcohol effect just getting meds.Hejust can't be left alone for any time with sibs. as behaviour is erratc and can be agressive. thanls in advance for any experiences ofthis. I have looked at website from govt but its not so specific.

yes, supervision is one of the DLA criteria, but it has to be more than normal for a child that age. ' So all 2 year olds need constant supervision, but 12 year olds should be able to do some things without supervision and there is obviously some point in between. . Ring DLA asap and ask for the form as it can be backdated from when you asked for the form and you have a few weeks to fill the wretched form in! (Just been doing ours last month!)
