Hiit has been seven weeks since panel and we have only seen one profileIts been a bit of an anti climax to be honest especially after being so happy with the panel result but after reading how long some people wait (which seems to be one year + ) it has been very disconcerting.I know that this isn't the same for everyone and for some it seems to go through quite quicklyBut if one more person says to be patient.......

I went from approval panel in March until October without a sniff of a link. However, unlike others, I was never offered any profiles until my SW had done a huge amount of ground work to make sure they were right. Starlet's was my first CPR and she was perfect. Well worth the wait!

In our case we saw our new LO's profile about 2 minutes after AP. The assessing agency were keen to link us with 1 of their own kiddies, they had a few they could have matched us with and the link was quickly agreed to by us.We feel very very fortunate at how quickly and painlessly we were assessed and matched this second time around.Believe me, the first time was the total opposite of quick and painless!I hope your journey is smooth from now on,Witch

I was with a VA. My flyer was sent nationwide 20 minutes after my panel and I got a child's profile sent to me 2 hours later. I received lots more in the next few days but then saw my gorgeous girls' profiles and the rest as they say is history. I guess it depends a bit on whether you're with a VA or LA and the type of match you're hoping for.

I think it all depends on your LA and SW...We are in touch with a lot from our prep course and one of the other couples are getting them left right and centre, they are fed up of it as they feel the SW is throwing anything and everything at them without taking anything into account that they discussed during homestudy. We have a SW who had made it very clear from the start that if she identified children, she would read their info, send our PAR to their SW, and if and only IF they were keen on us would we get to see the brief profile. IF we wanted more info then the childrens SW had to be clear we were the only couple in the running and then we get the CPR. We were happy with this as it meant we would only see CPRs that were suitable.AS it was all this went out of the window when we identified our own link at the adoption activity day, however our SW still wouldnt let us have the CPR until the childrens SW had gone through all of the expressions of interest and identified us as 'the couple' they would take forward.Bare in mind its holiday season as well and everyone is off jetsetting. Even if your SW has identified profiles they could be waiting on LOs SW returning calls/emails or sending the info across.Hang on in there, your perfect match obviously isnt quite baked!xx

We saw a profile just before panel and then a couple more within a couple of weeks of approval... then we had a break of a few months as we had family stuff going on. Our LA doesn't have any suitable children coming through so we we went on the National Register and since then we have had 2 a day - only slightly filtered by our sw.I think it can depend largely on what you have said accept / won't accept to and what your age range and numbers are... if you have very specific requirements e.g baby under 2, no discernible issues etc then the wait could be much longer than if you want an older child or sibling group or child with disabilities who are harder to place. It will also depend on how your sw is planning on working with you - ours sent lots of profiles and allowed us to consider them all together - others will filter profiles and only send one at a time that they feel could be a good match... maybe have a chat with your sw and see how they plan to manage the next stage? We have found that not being in a hurry and keeping busy with other things / making time for one another has helped get through the waiting (so far!)... you will get there!I love your signature incidentally

We saw the profile of the LO we have been linked to just before panel. Saw 2 then and his just leapt out at us. I know we have been very lucky, but most of the rest of our prep course are also somewhere in linking/matching process (we were last approved).

HiWell the first time around we received our first CPR exactly 3 months from panel (and the day before we were supposed to go to the consortium). We had heard absolutely nothing during that time unless we chased and chased. As it turned out, just like Kstar our SW had been carefully been sifting through CPRs and showed us the one which turned out to be perfect for us all. We are now 3 years in.We are now approved for the second time and are now in the waiting stage (which is just as annoying as the first time around). This time we are more specific about what we want as our new child will need to fit in with our AD as well as us and we know that there is nothing at our LA coming through. So we are now waiting until we can go to the consortium. Having said that, we have seen a couple of profiles that just aren't right for all concerned.I know it takes patience but just wish it got easier....
