HiWe are about to go for our medical, whilst I invisage no problems with the examination I am concerned does theGP have to list all medication taken? I am thinking if antibiotics etc.If you have had minor operations say 25 years agodo they need to be listed?

I think it depends my hubby had only had one other GP in his life so his report was very detailed ie concussion at age 10 and so on, but mine was just very up to date stuff, but I had moved around more so had had lots of different GPs and they did not list antibiotics I had taken only regular stuff like inhalers and levothyroxin good luck x

Hi AbeI have had loads of tests for various things - kidneys, ovaries, back etc etc because of what I now know to be hip problems... I was worried that ALL of these tests would be listed along with all of the things which were tried - drugs included - but my GP only listed the actual hip problem which by that time had been diagnosed properly... Also, the things he did list he didn't go into masses of information about so for instance if your op 25 years ago was for dodgy cervical cells for example (and assuming you are female which is a big assumption!) then it just said the name of the procedure. They fill the forms in by hand so only really use the short technical terms!Good luck with it - you will be fine I am sure

It doesn't go into routine illnesses like flu, ear infections or minor injuries requiring treatment. They are only really interested in anything that is ongoing or might recur - so normally things like asthma, diabetes etc would be mentioned, as would any mental health issues :-)
