Anyone who has been in this position out there?
We have a BD nearly 6, we've been in the process for 2 years now. Approved in September. Linked October with LG aged 8 months. Lots of change of panel dates due to sw paperwork. We visited FC. We're all set. Room ready. Transition toys ready. Adoption shower. Our BD was ready. Then boom a new process came in where we had to re do our medicals before matching panel (just typical)
something came up on my husbands new medical which showed he had a fatty liver. We went in circles with medical advisor who wouldn't support the match. Everyone agreed it was ridiculous. We got new blood tests which showed it was clear. But they said they have pulled the match and we can re try again in June after he's had a 6 month liver scan!
Obviiusly we're heartbroken it was a horrendous time for us as a family.
I'm panicked that if it comes back his liver is still fatty that it's the end of the road. My daughter was ready for a sister so it's been really tough for her. How am I going to tell her it's never going to happen
i haven't found anyone who's been so close to being matched and then been rejected. Not just found another match.
