What do you think?

I may be being unreasonable thinking bad of someone so I though I''d open it up for discussion and see what everyone else thought. My 5yr old (with severe, complex needs) daughter has an overnight respite at a specialist centre, every so often. Am I unreasonable feeling so peed off about them letting her sleep in until 11.oo am?She has never slept in that late even when up in the night several times a night for us. Even if she had I would of woken her up at a reasonable time to take her out...Maybe I''m over reacting but still feel really surprised that a specialist centre would just leave a small child in bed that long. What do you think? Rant over. ps she has 2 support workers that must of been sat around waiting! and of course she wont want to go to bed tonight!

i guess it also depends on what time shge went to bed ..........A 5y would still be sleeping approx 10 hours. So if late bed? unrestful sleep? then maybe 11am is okay....mental exhaustion?

A lthough she is possibly a bit young, but I think you will find that most units operate on a client led basis. Crazy I know, but it seems to be the way things are. Queenie

thanks for the replies. I feel a little better now that she managed to get to sleep ok tonight. She is put to bed there at 8.oo pm, It just seems so long to be kept in bed.
