Request from BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme and BBC News re film on attachment disorder

Press and PR Officer April 9, 2018 13:44
We've received the request, below, from the BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme. I’ve been commissioned to make a film for the Victoria Derbyshire programme on BBC2 and BBC News about Attachment Disorder. Please could you put a shout out to your network to see if there are any families who would be willing to have myself and a camera person come and film them and their young children (ideally at least one would be under 5/6) living with attachment disorder? I understand there will be safeguarding concerns for many parents, and we’d be happy for children’s real names not to be used, nor for any location details to be given of where the children live. I’ve already been granted access to film at the Beech Lodge School and have been put in touch with some parents who are keen to speak to us about their experiences, but Beech Lodge is age 8+ and I’m really keen to try and find a family who has younger children to film. We’re also going to be talking with some of the top academics in this field, with some young adults who grew up living with attachment related issues and numerous other people, too. I’m happy to be contacted via email: ---- EMAIL REDACTED ---- or on 02036143111 at any time, even if a family is considering it but would like to know more.
