We have a nearly 14 year old BC and have a AC nearly 4. Life has never been better. I guess in all things there are those who do well and those who don't. Our BC has complications so dealing with the adoption process for us was relatively straight forward and not at all like what we were expecting. In fact we rather enjoyed the process which makes me feel bad to admit as I know how much others struggle with the process. Our AC is a delight and an amazing child and to date we have had no issues. But and I guess a lot of that is down to how we have already had tough times with our BC so know how to manage our expectations and cope with life challenges and take nothing for granted.
