Big sister....

We are only 8 weeks in with our gorgeous AS. Today I told my BD (nearly 6) that she is ''the best sister ever''. She told me ''well, I am his only sister! He has two half-sisters, but they are only half-sisters aren''t they and I am his full sister''The whole genetic thing seemed to have passed her by. It brought a tear to my eye.

That's lovely If mummies and daddies are the people who bring you up, siblings are the children you share your childhood with. So she is his sister! Mine have no genetic relationship but always describe each other as sister. Both have half sibs they have never met and have never shown the slightest interest in them. They couldn't even name them or state their ages.

That's lovely!My 2 (who are genetically half-sisters) always insist that they are sisters - there is nothing 'half' about how much they love each other

Starfish said recently that he had 5 sisters. I thought, 'that's good he has grasped what I've been telling him about his birth family'. No, he meant the cats & hens...
