Just a hello from a new(-ish) member. My husband and I have adopted his grandson following the death of the boy''s mother when he was two. He''s now 9-1/2, fortunately a fairly easy child to parent. (I''m not an experienced parent, as I never had any children of my own. I came to parenting at the age of 57.)Laukel

welcome to the boards, there is a section on Kinship for adopters who've adopted family members if you have specific questions and of course you're welcome to use all the other boards too.wishing you all the bestl

hello and welcome,as already stated there is a board for kinship adoptions, but you will be welcome on all areas for the site, I have received over the years many practical tips on parenting and general life issues.best wishes June
