hello allI just want to start by saying thank you to everyone who gave me lovely advice over my worries recently, in recap we are keen to adopt a lo and we are the only couple being considered for him, he was recommended to us by our sw who was also his, this was changed due to conflict of interest. anyway it all went quiet but we got a call yesterday to say that our sw the lo''s new sw, family finder and lo''s foster carer are coming to have a chat with us on tuesday!! omg haven''t got enough chairs!! our sw told us shortlisting meeting will be this coming monday but they all will coming tuesday for this chat, im wondering though.. good sign? we haven''t been officially told any result from the short listing but we are the only couple and we know our sw thinks we are perfect for lo. so any advice on questions to ask? or what they might ask us? nerves have gone out the window!!

Hi it sounds like a link meeting though at ours, the FC wasn't present. I believe sometimes FC opinion is considered at this stage. Our meeting was mostly the ff chairing and giving us more info on LO with some photos, DVD. The only question I remember was "why do you believe this is the right child for us?"We replied that having read everything, there was nothing we couldn't cope with and as we found out more the connection grew and grew!We also said that only they had the full picture, (had met LO and us) and ultimately it was down to them whether they thought if was a good match. Hope that helps if it makes any sense!Mummy (of 3 weeks) to a wonderful 2 yr old boy!
