I have been present at the birth of three of the four children which our girls have had between them. The one missed was a month premature and despite pleas to catch the next flight back we could not and saw him on our return. We are hands on grandparents and to see these little ones grow up is a bkessing. Johanna x

Congratulations ! My nearly 13 year old often talks about making me a nanny - I'm looking forward to that !

I love my family so much. We are not a tick box family by any means and came together haphazardly. We have held Special Guardianship Orders rather than Adoption Orders. The girls now will openly demonstrate their love ... Our bd always has but the "second family" of daughters of our long term foster child have had an abusive and traumatic background and a complicated genetic inheritance / substance abuse affected lives. We are there for their children too and actively involved in their lives. Yes we had struggles which almost overwhelmed us in teen years but last night we put the old photos on the tv and relived a lot of happy memories. The wine and chocolate helped too! There can be times to reconnect even after police involvement. There is always hope and we found that always ending a phone call or visit with Love You was a help. Just waiting for the girls and their children to ca!! round today. They have both phoned. I am counting my blessings. Johanna xx
