Has anyone got any international adoption contacts?

Hello, My wife and I have recently had the devastating news that we are not able to conceive a child. My wife has taken this particularly badly. We are keen to explore other ways of starting a family and would welcome advice. As well as co-parenting we are considering international adoption and we would be interested to hear from anyone who has any contacts or advice. We are open to all suggestions. Thanks for reading this post. Richie

You might get more response on the transracial adopters board. Pluto is the only person I know here who has adopted internationally. Can I just suggest though that you give yourself a bit of time to process and come to terms with this news. Its a lot of take in, and you do need time to grieve for the loss of birth children. I assume you have some specific reasons for considering international adoption and not adopting domestically, not sure what you mean by co-parenting, but which ever route you chose adoption is a difficult, stressful process and you need to be emotionally strong enough to handle it. Social workers will question you about your motivations to adopt and that will include this painful news. Good luck
