Salaam,wouldn't call it in the process yet - but we had our first interview and are waiting to attend the course!I am very excited, but at the same time nervous. We did istikhara and it came back very positive and I know we are doing the right thing - but we have a long process to go through yet. I'd love to hear what stage you are at.

SalamWe adopted our dd about 3 years ago now - she was about 17 months when she came to us. We are considering adopting again but not yet - we are due with baby no.4 in October. We hope to begin the adoption process soon after. We have had a very positive experience with adopted dd and think that she would benefit from having another adopted sibling. The journey is definitely worth taking and inshAllah would be good to keep in touch with updates.x

Salaam,we have just received official notification that we are approved! Now we just have to pray for a match. Our situation is slightly unusual as we are British Muslims (with some mixed race heritage). We are really excited....

Salaamgood to hear there are other mjuslim adopters out there, we have just been approved and feel like we are the only ones out there, we have tried to find other muslim adopters, we have posted as nothing else has suceeded. please if there are muslim adopters get in touch.would be greatly appreciated

Hi.. I'm a single Muslim adopter and have been approved and matched with a LO but because of a delay in the courts I am not able to start intros just yet! Lovely to find other Muslim adopters on the forum... Wishing everyone the best of luck whichever stage you might be at!

Salaam to you all.My hubby and I are new to adoption uk. Its good to know there are other muslims going through the adoption process. My hubby and I are due for panel in August and have a possible match in advance of panel. Very excited. 12 years of trying for a family. xx
