HiWe just bought the junior spoon and fork following the report from OT.Does someone know how to use it?!I assume you use the spoon by placing the thumb on the top and the index underneath by the dent? What about the fork though?Any help would be greatThanks

Index finger on top in the dent. Ditto knife. Complete waste of money here as daughter refused point blank to use it insisting that she could manage normal cutlery! ! Hope you have better luck

That makes sense thank you, although I don't use my fork this way! He's nearly 3 and struggles with normal cutlery so hoping it will make a big change!

I think I might have to wait until OT come to the house, he didn't want to hold it the right way, I put his finger on the spoon to show him but as soon as I stopped showing him he put his fingers back the wrong way...!

Just wasted money on expensive cutlery here and when I saw the OT she told me that she could get hold of what looks like pipe lagging to slip over normal cutlery. Wish I had known earlier. Anyhow I know have this and it is brilliant our BC loves it and I can take two of the pieces in my handbag and therefore always have cutlery at the ready.

Sorry for not replying earlier. Saw the OT today and she kindly photocopied details of the cutlery grip for me. It is called Plastazote Tubing (looks like a much thinner form of pipe lagging) and is designed to slip over handles. It comes in 1 metre lengths and can be cut to size. Really cheap too at only £4.74 per metre (not VAT exempt) and can be bought via NRH Healthcare on 0845 508 0447. Luckily for me the OT gave us enough to use on everything we needed it for.Hope this info helps.Dusty
