No adopters board either! You have to faff around trying to dx your child in order to work out which category you need to post in!!

Also no footer comments. I liked them as could tell who everyone was.

i'm missing the simple old board. I suppose I may embrace this change, as flexibility is a key trait in adopters!

This s my first time on the new forum. Gonna take some getting used to - but I will reserve judgement :) Been a while since I've been on here but as DS has just started school I'm going to need some support from the experts out there :) (Day 3 and he's already in trouble with his teacher :( ).

oh Pedro, so reminiscent of my LO a couple of years ago. Talk, talk and talk to school. Don't let them label your son as naughty. Also get post adoption support involved. This led to my son's school gaining a greater understanding of my LO and giving him support. It is hard at first as you have such high hopes and really, really want him to settle like the other children. For me school really highlightened my LO's difficulties. Get and accept any help you can x

Exactly ! The other parents are just thankful it's not their child :-) I have had several chats with his teacher before he started so she is aware of his situation - and she is keen to keep the dialogue open. I think I feel that I am the one labelled 'naughty' rather than him :-) I am going to give him a few more weeks to settle down yet before I bring in the post adoption cavalry - but will do if we need it. Thanks

I thought the other board had gone quiet. Now I see why!! I only ever read the bits that are relevant to me so new nothing about the new board. But I'm here now :-) Went to approval panel on Wednesday and got a unanimous yes. The relief is just huge. I'm so happy. Just awaiting DM approval tomorrow then bring on the lovely children :-)

Decided to come and look at the new board, think it is going to take some getting used to. I'm about 2 weeks away from matching panel.

I think you guys are right... this will take some getting used to... lol Any ideas on the old sticky posts - I'm sure there was talk about them being moved over to the new boards... especially the one about "things to do in the first year of placement"?
