HiI am linked with a little one who is currently in FC with her 2 siblings. They are hoping to find parents for both the siblings but as yet that is not the case. My question is what will happen when intros start with my little one? will the siblings be there? I don''t think I could cope with seeing there little faces when I take her out etc. and I think I might feel a little overwhelmed with 3 little kids all at once.

Hi DramaqueenWe had this. It was hard especially as sibling was older and had more understanding about what was happening. FC was very good and arranged for other adults to help out during the time we were there.I had to keep it in my mind that it wasn't our decision not to adopt both, it had been decided by a team of professionals that they were to be placed apart. It wasn't an option and therefore I didn't let it bother me as much as it could have done.Good luck with your intros.MM

We had the same with our girls, and i was dreading it but the FC arranged for the two older siblings to be looked after by others and were at school for most of the time. My only regret is that we did not get to meet the sibblings, it was fine at the time but when they all had contact 6 monthsââ¬â¢after placement it would of been a better experience if we had meet at intros. good luck with intro

There may be a good reason why the children are not going to be adopted as a sibling group. But I do know people who adopted a sibling group but there were not all placed at once but staggered over a period of time.Is this a possible for you.However you have to do what is right for you and don't be pushed into something you are not comfortable with.Discuss what will happen before intros start with SW.
