hi we bought the foster carers too candle holders, as the family were so big and went with the house, also their son was the same age and close to LO, so got them both matching outfits and got photos taken. it was a good link as when LO wears them we can say do you remember so and so has the same, keeps the link alive. AS for social workers, we got a lovely cake stand, we knew her very well and knew she loved cake. hope it helps

We got Lo's fc a nice photo frame and a card thanking her. I've heard FC's really appreciate a thank you card. The fc bought us present, framed picture of the 3 of us so would have been awful if we hadn't got her anything. We didn't get sw's anything though we were on sw no 3 at that point.

You don't really say goodbye to social workers at this point. We invited our social workers (both ours and the girls) to part of our adoption day celebrations. They were in our lives right up to the point of the adoption order, so I think it would have been wierd to give them a present when the children moved in. But we did buy something for the fc. We took the children to a shopping centre during intros and we all chose an ornament. I remember my elder daughter banged the bag into a wall on the way out and we had to buy another one!
