Being thankful..

2fathers April 22, 2017 11:59
Yesterday at Beaver our son (8) was asked what he was 'thankful for' and to write it down along with what he was 'sorry for' and 'what he would like'. Most of the kids wrote about their toys or holidays however our son made his Beaver leader and support staff shed a tear by writing "Thank you for adopting me and for a good family". Still feel a little emotional now and his other comments that he is sorry for "being mean to dad and Daddy" also show how good a place he is in right now. It's chilling how close our son came to not being adopted and like others we face challenges on a daily bases, but these small things remind us it has all been worth while. His finally answer was that he would like a million pounds - wouldn't we all?
