HiNot from Northamptonshire but are at the beginning of our journey.Would be good to be in touch with others who are at the same stage of the journey.We are just awaiting our first home visit from the LA to decide whether they will take our application any further.EKJK

Hi.Thanks for replying.We had our first visit a couple of weeks ago. Next week we are invited to the information evening.So excited, will be lovely to find out more and chat to people who are at same stage as us too.We are hoping to adopt our first child. Will this be your first adoption experience.All the best.

HiYes, this will be our first, but my husband already has a daughter but she lives with her mother.If you don't minfd me aaking, how long did it take from your intitial applicarion until your first visit where they let you know if they will take your application further?EKJK

HiSorry for late reply we have been away.We heard this week that we can now formally apply - this was 1 week after info evening. The information evening was about a month after our intial visit.We have heard that we should if accepted be able to join a course in Sept.Hope this helps.
