Thought some might enjoy this website / find it useful. It is aimed at children with English as an additional language, but has lots of fun games esp for maths. It aims to get children talking about their learning.www.collaborativelearning.orgIt''s free too!

Thanks for that. We've recently had a lot of success using www.learnyourtables.co.ukI was beginning to think the boys would never get there on times tables but middly has nearly acheived learning all his in 2 weeks by using this website (ok I'm also rewarding him with a pack of match attax cards for each one successfully learnt!).

Eldest gets his homework on the 'my maths' website as the school subscribe. He's yr 7 but can't manage the games on the site as they are too hard. Good for older children though (or ones that are good at maths!).

Greyspeckedhen, tried today with my 2 the time tables one, and they loved it, so hopefully we will get there.. we only did the easy ones today..I got them to compete with each other, which they enjoyed, and thankfully they both won- and got an ice cream each.. But God help us when they have to do the 7 8 and 9 ones- Rebel is only 7, and the teacher said they need to learn all of them!!! He is in Y3.
