Can anyone here give me some information. My dd and her partner have expressed an interest in looking after her partners nephew (brothers child). So far SS have asked for permission to look at their medical records What she would like to know is the process and order things happen, at the moment the child is placed with the maternal grandmother with his younger sibling although this is unlikely to continue. Partners brother is only allowed supervised contact at the moment.Care proceeding have started?

Care proceeding and placement order had been made in are case. but we r now getting assessed to adopt. if placement order is made dont let anyone tell you its final coz its not. we were told the same thing. also if a family hasnt been found within 6 months they still come back to the family and ask again. we were in the same situation as u the ss didnt want us to have them. but once placement order was made i was told it was final but I would have none of this. I kept getting advice, but I was also told because placement order was made its a different department in the ss that deals with u, its the adoption team.hope this helps
