breakfast in bed

Larsti June 17, 2013 11:16
DH is away. When he is home he always brings me a cup of tea in the mornings, gives Dash his breakfast, feeds the pets etc while I begin to feel human This morning Dash brough me black coffee (there was no milk in fridge but he didn''t know there was milk on the doorstep) ''I was very very careful'' and the mug was half full so it didn''t spill...very sensible! And then he brought me toast and marmalade......turned out it was mango chutney I ate it though, and although I hadn''t planned to drink the black coffee, being a weak and milky tea person, after the mango chutney, I felt in need of a drink!!

another Dash story. After an earlier conversation about why our elderly cat keeps bringing up fur balls.....DH kissed us all goodbye last night before going for his train. Kissed DD on the head.'You will get a fur ball Dad if you kiss Violet's hair'

I am howling at the thought of eating toast with mango chutney... In fact next time I am struggling with Starlet being stubborn and controlling, I might just have to have a slice to cheer me up! Haha xx

On the subject of cats and hairballs, I can strongly recommend Whiskas anti- hairball packs (cat's head shaped containers). They get 10 per day and are like cat treats but in fact prevent hairballs. My cats love them. Hairballs can make cats very ill. Both of mine suffered from them and were treated by the vet at considerable cost. I was afraid that one would die, she was so ill. The Whiskas stuff works incredibly well. I have had no further problems since giving them to the cats each day.Lily

The mango chutney on toast is so funny, and you eating it all is funnier still. Just imagining you keeping a steady appreciative smile across your face as you forced it all down....!
