Ridiculously proud!!! - Update

I rarely post about us, but I am so overwhelmingly proud of my young man tonight.

The first CPR I had for him, pretty much wrote him off. Expectations and aspirations for him were so low. He moved out of special education into mainstream primary and then secondary. He is doing GCSEs and has plans to work in the rail industry.

Tomorrow he has an interview for head boy at school, His application was ( mostly!) his own work. I would be stunned if he got it. But I am so very proud that he has the aspiration to try.

What a long way he has travelled.

That’s fantastic to hear. Don’t forget to be a little bit proud of yourself too - we all know what it can take to get from A to B ?

Wonderful! You can rightly be so proud of your boy for coming such a long way. You should also be proud of yourself, he’s done this with your support, love and care. I’m only 2 1/2 years into my journey as adoptive mum but am already used to the optimistic highs and the terrifying lows of self doubt. I always think your advice on here is well balanced and useful, you’re clearly doing a great job.

Oh how fabulous! Isn’t it uplifting to see our kids achieve in ways not even we could foresee. Well done to both of you - he couldn’t have done it without your love, support and encouragement xx

That is such awesome news, so nice to read something positive and up lifting. To think that all of your love, kindness and support for your child went towards him doing so well. I think not only should you be proud of him you should be proud of yourself too for doing such a good job at bringing him up. xx
