Upside down world of adoption!!!

We've just spent the last few hours looking at our girl's baby boxes that usually stay in the attic. For the first time our adopted daughter looked through her life book (she's never shown any interest before). It was a good thing to do. However, our younger birth daughter (aged 6) who was listening to the conversation, is struggling with NOT being adopted!!! Last week she asked DH for an adoption certificate because she feels left out!! We've spent a fair amount of time this evening comforting her because she feels less important!!!! I never thought I'd have to reassure my birth daughter about her key role in our family. It's all a bit upside down....!!!!

I guess she's just seeking attention as we put so much focus on our adopted ones and what they need/can cope with. I have 2 older adopted children and 2 younger birth children. We're just about to start some therapy with our adopted children, wondering if our 4 year old will feel left out! It's a tough balancing act sometimes. X
