I have just realised that Edward Timpson has lost his seat in the election. I think this is a loss to the adoption community, in terms of having someone in government who understood the realities

It is a big loss - he was the one advocate for adoption.

Looks like the new minister will be Robert Goodwill, MP for Scarborough, he is a farmer, in govt he was in the Whips office, Transport and Minister for Immigration
