I'm a mummy!

Hi there, its been a while since I've been on here, I've been a little busy! I just wanted to update anyone who previously have me advise / support in my journey through planet adoption! I had two wonderful children placed with me at the end of October, blue 3 and pink 2... They are everything I had ever wanted! It is so worth the waiting, frustration and worry to get to this point! Good luck to all of you with your own journeys, at whatever stage you may be xx

How exciting! Congratulations. Am I right in thinking you are a single adopter? I am going to panel in March as a single adopter and am keen to explore the idea of adopting a sibling group of two but understand that this might be quite tricky as a single person so I wondered what your experience was. Any advice gratefully received x

Hi All, yes single adopter with two beautiful (difficult, tiring, stroppy) little ones. It can be done, and us 100% worth it, but you must believe in you're own abilities and fought for it! My babies' social worker did not think I would manage, but I argued and am proving hey wrong... Its all about visible support network and belief in yours own ability... I have no regrets!

Glad to read a positive post for once, I was beginning to panic with all of the posts on here focusing on how hard and tiring and stressful caring for an adoptive child is. Is good to hear about the other side. I am a single adopter too currently considering a pair if young siblings, I know it will be a lot if work but I also know I am capable and stable so I'm sure I can do it, I think the positives will outweigh the negatives.
