Belonging & Educational Attainment National Survey

onlineteamAUK September 27, 2019 12:15

Many adopted children struggle with school, and that can make family life difficult. So anything we can do together to help improve their school experience has got to be time well spent.

That’s researchers at Cardiff University are asking all parents of adopted school children in years 10 – 13 to get their children to take part in the Belonging & Educational Attainment National Survey (BEANS).

BEANS will give researchers at Cardiff University valuable insight into how adopted young people feel about their school, and the relationship between school belonging and wellbeing and academic attainment and career choices.

Their findings will ensure young people’s voices are heard, and help schools respond appropriately to what adopted students really need to improve their school experience.

The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and asks about school experience, wellbeing and career choices. All responses are anonymous and confidential, and every child who completes the survey will have the chance to win a £10 Amazon Voucher.

If you are happy for your child to take part, please click here for more information. If you have any questions about BEANS, please contact the lead researcher Andrew Brown (adoptive parent) by clicking here
