HiJust wanted to say, "Hello!" We have just become members and are just starting out on our journey! We are currently between the initial information session and the first home visit... We are in West London/Middlesex and have started the process with a local authority. The site and message boards look great and we have already found out lots of useful info! Looking forward to taking our tentative, first steps.

Thanks for the welcome Lonsdale!We are really impressed with the boards - everyone seems very friendly and supportive. We have got our first visit from the SW in a couple of weeks. Any advice? What can we expect? Tango

Hello all!Thanks for all your welcome messages...what a friendly bunch! We are going to join New Family Social - it looks a great site and thanks for recommending it.Well, we are a few days nearer to our first home visit from the SWs. Got the afternoon off work - we are both primary school teachers. The SW has said the meeting will last an hour and a half. It's all feeling a little strange... but so exciting too! Any snippets of advice would be welcome... or fingers crossed from afar! Tango

Hi TangoOur initial visit lasted 2.5 hrs! but it was very interesting and the time,cake and tea just flew past!Be yourselves and enjoy it! we are now awaiting a match so enjoy the journey and most of all you will learn from it!Regards Hubellyx
