And at 13 years of age, DD has finally had friends round and managed to be pleasant to me! Usually I get the full ''poo on shoe'' treatment - lots of pushing boundaries, rude talking back and contradicting me, often in the past she has told me (in front of her friends) that I am not allowed to talk to them!But today, I took three very pleasant girls shopping, went into the first shop with them, then left them to shop before we met up for coffee, then left them a little longer, met up for lunch and we all went back to our house where they tried stuff on and had a good giggle. I was allowed to chat to everyone in the car, and a very pleasant chat we all had too. It was such a difference from the last time I attempted anything like this, and such a wonderful change. She is really growing up, and growing up into someone you can have a nice day out with! Phew!!
