Oh dear! What a disappointment! What a shock! I don't understand the new boards at all! All that I liked about the original boards has gone. It was so easy to use, you could see everything all at once, it was easy to respond or write a message, there was the PM system. It feels like the baby has been thrown out with the bath water. I thought there was a case for having a private message board available in addition to what we already had and people could choose to use it or not as they wished. But I saw it as being added on to what we already had. Instead everything has been taken away. I feel very sad and disappointed. Lily

once you are logged in you should see the 'member to member' board which is private (presumably AUK member only?) I think we should be able to send pms as in my profile it says 'messages' - none. however, I have no idea how to do this! here's hoping all will become clear eventually! More strange is the fact that other people looking at this web address still can't see this site. I'm not sure why some people can and some people can't. I can see it on both chrome and internet explorer so it isn't browser dependent.

Am sure it will all make sense eventually! Being so all at sea with a new concept just reminds me how I need to remember how bad my children must feel when the are out of their comfort zone :)

I am on safari on an iPad and it's fine... However, it took me a while to realize I couldn't use my old favourite bookmark, it said he site no longer existed... I had to type the address in from scratch! I like the look of the new boards and they're moving really quickly which is great, but I can't work out how to PM either, and also what is the Vote bit all about?!?

Struggling with new format but sure I will get there. Contacted them by telephone as now no longer a link for 'adopters with birth children' which I found very interesting and helpful. However I have been told that all private messages received are now 'lost' and cannot be accessed. This is very dissapointing as I have no way of re-tracing these....

I emailed last night asking about the 'adopters with birth children' link too. What did they say - are they resurrecting it? I can't understand why they've removed some of the links. Still, just getting used to it all - hopefully it'll all make sense at some point!! (And where are the smilie face emoticons!!)

I feel lost too. On the old boards you could look at 'posted today ' and get a quick update on threads you were following. So far I can get this on my I-phone but my mac computer takes me to the old boards????
