Government Consultation on Children's Mental Health Green Paper

Hello,In December 2017, the Department of Health and the Department for Education published a Green Paper on transforming children and young people's mental health provision which can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/664855/Transforming_children_and_young_people_s_mental_health_provision.pdfThe green paper focuses on earlier intervention and prevention, especially in and linked to schools and colleges. The proposals include:- creating a new mental health workforce of community-based mental health support teams- every school and college will be encouraged to appoint a designated lead for mental health- a new 4-week waiting time for NHS children and young people’s mental health services to be piloted in some areasA consultation on the Green Paper has now opened and Adoption UK will be formulating a response. We, therefore, encourage members to contribute to the response. You can send your contributions - or queries about the Green Paper - to ---- EMAIL REDACTED ----.
