Online Community Team November 26, 2012 15:42
LGBT couples living in England, who have undergone, pr are going through the adoption process are needed for participation in a small scale research project being undertaken as part of my dissertation in Education and Social Science at St Mary''s University in Twickenham. The study will focus on the couples'' experiences regarding the adoption process. It is hoped that the information gathered will enable the opportunity for some recommendations for social science practice in this area of study. Participants will be asked to partake in one interview with the researcher that will be conducted with both partners. The interview will be held at a time and place of the participants’ convenience and will last about 45 minutes. It is hoped that the interviews can take place between December 2012 and early January 2013. If you would be interested in taking part or would like further details about this study, please contact:---- EMAIL REDACTED ----Ethics and confidentialityShould you agree to participate in the project, you will not be identified in anyway in the presentation of my findings. Pseudonyms will be used throughout. All of the raw data that you provide will only be seen by myself and my supervisor. The interviews will be recorded and transcribed and the files will be stored on a password encrypted computer that only I have access to.These criteria meet the requirements for projects being carried out in accordance with the University College’s ethical guidelines.
