Well that told me!

BC2 is 7 and thinks his adopted sister, 2.5, is the absolute bee''s knees. He is always boasting about her little achievements to his friends and telling her how clever and beautiful she is.The other day he said "I think AD is so clever with her talking, she is really good it at!"As she has severe speech delay and I didn''t want him to wonder why other people might not see it that way, I said "Well yes, but most 2.5 year olds can say a lot more."He replied "MUMMY! Most 2 year olds didn''t have the start that she did and haven''t had to move families! I can''t believe you!" and he walked off in disgust!Maybe I have explained the effects of early trauma better than I thought

Brilliant! I find children 'get it' much better than adults do. BB (mum to 3+3)
