Lesbian and Gay Adoption in the UK: Opportunity to contribute to a research study

Good Morning,A group of MA students from Goldsmiths, University of London, are undertaking a study into the possible barriers that are experienced within the lesbian and gay community during their adoption journey. The study will form part of their MA studies in Social Work.There are 11 members in the study group. They are eager to explore the subject of Lesbian and Gay Adoption in the UK and gain firsthand insight into the various experiences/ challenges/ benefits that occur during the adoption process.The study group aim to gain these results through a combination of direct face-to-face interviews and secondary literary research. The findings of their study will be used as part of their assignments and will be presented to students studying the Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, Master of Arts in Social Work and the group facilitators, on Thursday 15th December 2011. All participants will be given the opportunity to attend this presentation. The research group will adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection practice. All participants will also be provided with a participant information sheet giving them the opportunity to fully understand the project purpose and interview process.
