So I ended up in hospital for the past week with the possibility of going for surgery. Iâm out now and undergoing tests to work out whether I do need it but chances are I will be. I decided to contact ds supooet teacher last week just to let her know where I was and whatâs going on as sheâs been supporting him lately with Camhs appointments etc and things to do in school to relax as he does get a bit of anxiety. Not massively but he is a worrier and especially when it comes to me. I called the full week leaving messages, said Iâm in hospital, not one reply. Until Thursday, which was the one day out the whole week I was away for a scan but she left a voicemail saying sheâll phone at the end of the day... still nothing!! I didnât want her speaking to him or letting him know I called as I didnât bother telling him. Just wanted to say what was happening and just that if anyone thinks his mind is maybe not on the job then this was why. Am I right to be annoyed about this? I feel i could have been falling for any reason, the fact I told secretaries Iâm in hospital could have been more serious so surely she should have taken the time to find out whatâs going on for his sake?

I think youâre 100% right - is there anyone else you could contact at the school - SENCO or someone? As you say you donât want them to get part of the message and speak to your son without speaking to you first
