well the powers that be have decided to prosecute littly and her ex with child neglect.....because they let pootr little one sleep with a pillow. all other health checks were ok, he was putting on weight and meeting milestones....whatever that means as he was only five weeks old but they are going to court with this.... solicitor thinks that they are covering backs and I must agree with that as they...that is SS will not talk with me and I do not know if a serious case review was held and lo was on at risk register and my AD was let out of birthing centre only after four hours of giving birth to take lo to a place that SS said was not suitable for her as an 18 year old to go.....god give me strength, I am fuming but do not know what to do about it all, WE are there for our AD and supporting her where we can and when she will let us, I am sick and am sure its to do with stress and worry.

So sorry to hear this, April Showers. They will have to prove a case of neglect. From what you say - health checks OK, putting on weight and meeting milestones - there is much in AD's favour. The lawyer can prepare the defence once the details of the allegations are known. Thinking of you. Lily x

safia the baby died a year ago now, he was five weeks and six days old, still no death cert as this wont happen now till after this court hearing, according to DD the coroner had no actual cause of death so they were looking at SIDS, the pillow apparently the health visitor noticed it and made a comment but not sure if this was written down as a concern or not.

Sending much love and strength to you and your dh. Please look after yourself and step back a little if you can. Proceedings can take a long time which understandably will be extremely stressful never mind the emotional side for all of you. Just trying to keep things stable by our planet adoption standards seems to demand Herculean efforts and the price - well it's a litany of things - you've been through so much and I hope that you will find the strength and health to come through this too. Both of mine are struggling at the moment - one with the tragic death of his bf so endless reserves have to be found from goodness knows where to somehow keep going. Thinking of you all Mx

The case was dropped thrown out of court as no evidence.....but things just get worse will post when I am able to.

Its relentless the never ending ups and downs of our lives as parents of older adoptees I am ao glad that you have been there to aupport your daughter. Mourning her son and going through courr most have been so difficult for her and for you as you support her.more loses for her and for you . How are your other grandchildten?
