Hi All, our LA has recently cut to nothing the enhanced adoption allowance agreed with us two years ago. They did so without warning or review. They are now reviewing, but have not reinstated the allowance (pending the review decision), and are instead asking us for the justifications and implications of retaining/withdrawing the allowance.
Does anyone have any experience of this type of situation and how it should best be managed? We already have a formal complaint in with the LA about not giving us the guidelines to explain another decision to reduce our means tested allowance. However the enhanced allowance is significantly more (realise we are lucky to have it all) and we are looking at escalating this further, and/or seeking legal advice. Any thoughts much appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with the LA and AA. What does the enhanced AA mean? All I can suggest is that you have all conversations with the LA, in writing, so they are accountable for their actions.
