Hi me and my husband have just been approved for adoption on the 22 of march, I no its not been long but the waiting is so hard, but will be worth it in the end. Were the first gay male couple to be passed in our city, its been a long hard journey but it will worth it in the end. I cant wait to get our child.

All is well kind of should have our wee one by now but some problems with the foster person wanting to keep the child,were so scared that it mite all go wrong but the social work is trying to keep our spirits up please keep your finger cross for us .

Hi Scotdads22 Hope all is going well?we have had our little one for nearly two months now :-)We also had a threat of the foster carer wanting to keep him as the whole family had gotten so attached but thankfully in the end they didn't persue.I have heard off other adpoters it's quite common for this to happen but in the end the foster carers accept that they have to move on.I personally think there should be a change in there training regarding attachment!

Hopefully it will work out for us but the foster carer is trying to get an interum to keep the child so hopefully the carer won't get it but next week we will fined out for def if she gets it we won't get the child if not hopefully the child will be here in a couple of weeks.
