There was an article in adoption uk magazine a while ago about adoption and the church. There's a version of the key points reworked here: https://www.careforthefamily.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/CFF-Adoption-and-Fostering-Guide-for-Churches.pdf

Some good stuff around, but watch out for stuff more relevant to the USA ( different adoption systems and rules) and some approaches to parenting that most people ( inc Christians) in our culture would not find helpful or right. Home for good have uk related stuff btw Also, watch out for the "love conquers all" approach , while it can help a lot ( you will need the forgiveness !! ) it's not a cure all, look for stuff that recognises the reality of long / life long trauma damage , the need to accept people as they are ( as JC did and was criticised for.!! ) and the validity of therapeutic parenting at times.

Thanks Pear Tree, there is some good stuff there. Thanks also to you pingu123. I take your point about stuff from the USA. I did some homework on this. Grove books are based in Cambridge. Day One is in Leominster. (Both in the UK.)
