Hi everyone. My name is Stuart, i'm 24. Myself and partner (32) are within the later stages of the adoption process. We've just been approved as adopters and are now waiting to attend matching panel for a prospective match. Due to the time of the year, things have been organised so that if we're successful, we'll begin introductions at the end of the month (Very exciting) I just wanted to meet some people that might be in a similar situation to ourselves, to share experiences and support. Looking forward to speaking to you all.

Hi, That all sounds very exciting and a long way off for myself and my partner. We have been waiting to complete stage 1 (all our bit was done end of september) but due to missing DBS in the post and medical reports it still hasn't happened. Hard not to get disheartened !! Hopefully it will all happen very soon so we don't miss the next lot of training in a few weeks. Hope you have started inyroductions and all is going well. Wish we had a fast forward button but trying to make the most of this time as life will never be the same again (we hope!) Take care, 2catsmother
