I used to be an information architect but I don't understand this at all. Where do I find the forum on linkmaker? I can only find "my feed". Where is the navigation to it? What is "my feed"? Is that the new "posted today"? My username cannot be my community name, so now I have to post under a new user name (now called community name)? Why does every post on linkmaker start with "Post"? It is annoying and makes skimming harder. What is the system behind the order of the forum topic groups like "adopters" "good news"? It is not alphabetical, not most recent, not most posts? Will the forum be hosted on two different websites? When I try to register I am always being asked for my approving agency etc. as if I wanted a match.

I am SO confused!! I have (somehow?!) logged onto linkmaker thinking I needed to in order to use these forums - but this one is still here & the linkmaker one won't let you reply to posts. Are they going to merge the forums? Or is one staying here?? Too confused. I want the old blue forum back ;) Xxxx

Anyone trying to contact me on Linkmaker - I can’t get on there. I keep getting messages to look on there but it won’t let me in.

I’ve just been on again and I can’t see any of the facilities that we had before - and it’s referred to as linkmaker - I thought it was just an option to link with linkmaker for those it’s relevant too - and too much to read - rules and regulations - and each time I look I have to log in again which I don’t on this site

Ooh ... I can still see these on my phone! Naff all on my iPad where I’ve had to re-register but can see nothing and respond to nothing! Good to know it’s gone as well as it normally does when it changes! But honestly... why are there currently two different boards? Because what’s on the new ain’t on the old and vice versa?

I was an early user of Linkmaker’s previous version, Adoption Link. This means I have a user name and profile assigned to my email address in their system. This was four or five years ago but as that email is used on their system I needed to find the log in details and my user name, which I’d totally forgotten before it let me register for the new forum. Luckily I’d used a different user name so kept my forum name. Here’s the thing though. Linkmaker let’s verified members view other profiles. For the purposes of matching this includes SWs. If you were motivated to do it, a SW could look at my LinkedIn Profile under the username on that system and look at all my subsequent archived forum posts on AUK under this user name and blow my secret identity. From the instructions it seems a bit “Open” compared to what we are used to on AUK. Com’s Manager, please correct me if I have somehow misinterpreted this but this is how it appears!

Well I can’t access the new site at all this morning. This is still here though. New site tells me I need to log in for security reasons and they’ll send me a code which I need to use. Done that, using lower case exactly as the code was sent. Nope! Now blocking me as I’ve tried to log in too many times. Bonkers. And why is it still the old site on my phone? What’s going on??

I’m on my phone looking here at this site. The new site wouldn’t accept my AUK log in details. I’m not a previous user of Linkmaker so it doesn’t affect me; but I’m concerned about what Ford Prefect has said.

I found the verification code only works if you cut and paste it.

Madrid You need to register with Linkmaker to use all the functions.

Wonder if they know this one is still running!?

The space was there ... lower caps used. This is the old site which is still working. There was no facility to respond on the new ones. Nor any posts pre it going live

This site is archived on the new one.

Think I’ll carry on with this one .. no other option atm anyway as no response to my emails!

Family-finding on Link Maker is separate to any community features, and only your real name is used with social workers for the purpose of matching. Your community name is shown, and this can be the same or similar to your past forum name depending on whether you want to be recognised from your past posts. Social workers cannot see your community profile. Please do choose a username that doesn’t identify you personally, or from activity on other websites that you would not want to be recognised from. I can’t access the new site . You’ve blocked me. Could you look into that please. I have emailed link maker but they’ve not responded. The passcode you sent me won’t work. And because I tried 3 times it’s now blocked me. And no emails on registering either
