Is anyone in limbo at the minute. My husband and I started the adoption process June 2020 and have been through pre-assessment but have yet to be given a social worker to start the assessment process. It's been 4 months since we have completed the pre-assessment course required by our Trust. They say they are back logged due to the courts being closed by covid and are waiting for social workers to be freed or for new staff to be trained. I understand as I work in health care myself but I'm starting to get a little frustrated especially with other trusts near us actively advertising for Foster and adoptive parents 😢. Sorry just need to get my frustrations out a bit.

Hi, my husband and I are the same, awaiting to be assigned a social worker for assessment. We completed the course last August and all pre checks were finished in January. It's very frustrating, noone has contacted us although we constantly are phoning them. The initial social worker was extremely bad at managing expectations.
