FIM August 19, 2013 20:12
Have just applied for tickets for these games. The semi-finals of our son''s favourite sport was £50 for all three of us!The finals were £50 each! - though I could have had cheaper tickets, but wanted a good view!Anyone else considering going or already applied? We won''t know if we''ve got any tickets until October!

My husband mentioned it this evening, but I am not keen. We did do the Paralympics last year - apart from the excitement of just being there, I was kind of bored (sorry anyone who loves athletics). He loves it and he could stay with my parents, who live near Glasgow. Only I have decided the rest of us should leave the tickets for people who really want to watch.

Flosskirk, that's hilarious! You are the only person I have heard say anything other than rave reviews of the Olympics/Paralympics. I have to admit I left the entire Greater London area for the duration, and didn't regret it. I am sport phobic, out and proud!

Glasgow is lovely. Visited it years ago for work purposes.Edinburgh I love also. Stayed with many Scottish friends whilst there.Love Scotland very much, despite being a Southerner.Anyone who gets the chance to enjoy Glasgow, take it.
