biloxiblues August 15, 2013 18:42
We''re going to Legoland tomorrow (first time)and plan to go on dry rides tomorrow and the ones that you get wet on Saturday. My question is how wet do you get on these rides? we''re going to take a change of clothing but do we need other shoes and what sort of shoes would be practical to wear? Many thanksMrs BBxx

If you want to go in the new duplo valley splash area you will want swimming costumes.

Quite damp but not soaked - unless, as fizzpop says, you go to the water play area. You can end up sitting in a bit of water, particularly in the viking ride.Have a great time!Corkwing

With regard to shoes I'd wear the most comfortable ones you all have as you will be doing a lot of walking.I don't think you'll need changes of shoes after the wet rides. As Corkwing says it's more wet from sitting down than anything else.We went in May and it was freezing - we splashed out and used the human driers just to warm up but they were quite effective. Don't forget that DLA letters alone don't get you ride priority any longer. If this applies to you, you need to take diagnosis letters which show an inability to queue - that said our letters weren't checked particularly thoroughly.Have a good time.MMx

I LOVE the Viking Water Splash! Good idea to cover up as much as possible with raincoat, especially your bag, but you will probably be sitting in a puddle. We've never used the drying machines, and tomorrow will be warm so you may find you dry naturally quite quickly. There's a good place to stand and shoot water at others on the ride too!!Atlantis is a great ride, but the queues when we were there were dreadful.I haven't seen the Star Wars stuff yet, so am jealous!

Thanks everyone, we're going with others who tend to be a bit ott!!!! They are taking 3 changes of clothes for today and we're not going on wet rides today!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're going to put swim stuff under shorts and tee shirts and if we get wet that's all part of the fun. We will try the dryers and if it doesn't work we'll just have to sit on carrier bags and stop and get changed when we can................The belles are just a tad over excited!!Mrs BBxx

We had two fantastic days and the visit was described by the youngest belle as "epic"!!! We would go again but might spend the money on Q-bot next time!!!Thanks for all of the tips.Mrs BBxx

Glad you had a good day.I went the week before last. My daughter qualifies for the disabled kids' passes - thank goodness. I was advising a friend who was over from South Africa and taking his family last week and I basically said not to go if he couldn't buy the bots - the queues were completely ridiculous. He did get them though they cost a fortune and he was very glad of it.You don't have a diagnosis of sth you could use to get the passes, do you?

We're going shortly and I'm taking my children's dx letters with me to get the passes. It also means we get two free careers passes!!
