Does anyone have experience around SUPPORT issues for young person in independednt living situation plesae. What should I be told? What support is available? Is there a good website /book for young persons rights etc,I am concerned about the pressure of living life for my young person and having to save money for everything from so little.Any recommendations welcome, especially as I think supported living should have beeen used as a stepping stone to independednt living.

Sorry to be grim but not very much Pretty much a hostal, bed sit or a flat those are the options Ss are supposed to be involved but the reailty is there pretty much left to there own devices hence why they usually flounder I say this as somone who had 7 years as a foster carer also If they are not coming from foster craer or a care home they will not be eligable for a flat as the new guide lines will only pay for persons under 25 to have a room with in a SHARED house My advice if possible keep young person as home Is there no way you could build a granny annex in garden as a way of giving some inderpenace but keeping them with you
