Any advice please on assessment and panel

Snowy October 16, 2009 08:56
Hi AllMy hubbie and I are newbies to the ''system''/''journey''! We have completed our medicals and I saw a medical advisor who sits on the Panel to talk through my medical needs aminly my toileting problems and hospital admissions due to the problems I have every 12 weeks. We have completed our LA''s Prep Training and have recently started our home assessments and individual assessments. I am the one with the disability - a full time wheelchair user (double amputee with back injury) and will be full time ''mum'' as my hubbie works 0600-1400 each day. Please can anyone give us any advice on your ''journey'' experiences. All we know is we do not want a child under 3yrs and not really over 7. I have this idea that if we were having a biological child we wouldn''t want to know what sex it was so why should we decide the sex of our child. So advice/ expreience from anyone would be great.Snowy

just saw your post and wishing you well, if you've already spoken to medical panel member they should have gone through any issues with you, so that panel shouldn't be a problem, but even if it is, you can usually address any weak areas & go back to panel with additional informationsws usually only put people through to panel if they think they will pass, so try not to worry about it too muchall the bestl
